Once in a while,  in the regular rush of getting things done we are stopped in our tracks to take notice of what is going on around us.  Last week Catholic Charities participated in its first Giving Hearts Day.  We were excited when we were chosen and the excitement carried through to that day.  We raised over $13,000 in that one day.  As I was watching our donations come in, I was truly humbled by the fact that so many people were taking time out of their day to give back.  Thank you so much for donating!  Not only for those who donated to Catholic Charities North Dakota, but also to the other 139 charites.

In today’s mail, we received a thank you from a couple who had a child placed for adoption through our Pregnancy, Parenting and Adoption Services.  Notes and letters like this one are so humbling because it reminds us that the work we do contributes to a much greater cause..

“Thank you for all of your hard work delivering {our baby} to our arms.  I never dreamed I could fall in love so quickly.  He is such an angel.

People like you change people’s lives.  We want you to know it does not go unnoticed.  You have given us a miracle and for that we will be forever grateful.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”
